Security and privacy
This is the place where we explain how we handle security and data. What is not stated here is in the privacy notice.
Collect as little as possible
A trade mark name you are considering is business-sensitive information: it reveals what you are working on before you have registered it. We do not sell or share those names and do not create a profile from them. The answers to the trade mark check we retain only to be able to send you the result, and you can have them deleted.
Technology
Everything runs over https with HSTS. Passwords are stored hashed, sessions are in the database, and two-factor authentication is available via email or SMS — available to everyone, and never mandatory.
An encrypted backup is made daily, and that backup is automatically restored in a test — a backup you have never restored is not a backup.
Download everything, always
Via your settings you export all your data with one click as a ZIP file. You can cancel at any time; your invoices remain available as long as the law requires.
Your data is valuable and trust is fundamental. At marcai.eu, we take security and privacy as seriously as you should. We work with encrypted connections (HTTPS/SSL) for all communication between your browser and our servers. Your passwords are never stored in readable form – we use modern hashing techniques that make them unusable to unauthorized parties.
All personal data you share with us is protected under the GDPR. We don't just aim to comply with this – we actually do it. That means you have insight into which data we collect, how long we retain it, and you can request deletion or export of your information.
Our servers run in secured data centers with physical and digital access controls. We conduct regular security audits and work with external specialists to identify vulnerabilities before they become problematic. If we do need to report an incident – and that happens in every sector – you'll hear about it from us first.
In short: at marcai.eu, your security is not negotiable, but simply how we operate.
